Welcome to Rafael Casanova High School, Barcelona, Spain. This is the third year our school participates in the Global Scholars Project and we have learnt how important is water in our society and how to avoid to pollute our bodies of water and cities. To decide what topic we wanted to choose we were brainstorming during a few days and most members of our class thought that plastic waste was one of the most challenging problems in our society. So we decided to create a campaign called " Global Scholars against plastic in our citiies ".

Our main goal is to convince our neighbourhood to reduce plastic consumption and recycle to reuse plastic bottles.

We would also like to make our society aware of the dangers that implies to consume so much plastic because it destroys marine life and their ecosystems and pollutes the environment because plastic is made with petrol and petrol produces polluting emissions.

We visited our main restaurants and shops to start with our campaign and convince our neighbours of the importance of reducing plasctic and tried to look for neighbours who spoke English.

This is Ciurana primary school. We are ready to become teachers for a day and teach children the importance or reducing plastic consumption. It has been an amazing day!!!

This is the first group that introduced our campaign against plastic to primary school children. They understood very well the dangers of plastic in our cities and asked many questions.
