On this third day of mobility we have been able to enjoy a literary morning in the mountains. We really enjoyed the story box activity in which the 13 year old students read a fragment of a story that had been previously prepared for the 10 year old students.
We went to school early in the morning and then a coach bringed us to Monte Salviano in order to spend the morning there. As I mentioned before, the 13 year-old kids prepared short readings for the 10 year-old students. I believe that all 13 year old students have a good reading ability, they read very well. You can see that there is a lot of work behind.
When we arrived at the picnic area we noticed an area that looked like a theater where the younger children sat. Then one of the older children made the younger children pick up an object from inside the story box.
Each of the objects in the box was related to the books that the students had brought with them to read. Then, one of the younger students would take an object out of the box and the older child who had put the object in the box would come out to read his or her piece.
When each student finished reading his piece to the others we had a break. During the break we ate the typical italian omelet which they call "panne frito", it was delicious.
After the break we were asked if we wanted to tell a story to the children in our language. So between me, Sònia and Anabel, we acted out the story of Little Red Riding Hood without telling them the title. Once the performance was over, they were able to deduce that it was this story.

When we finished we walked up the mountain with some teachers to see the chapel of the Madonna di Petraquaria but we were late and we had to go back down to take the bus back to school. It was a different and special day which we enjoyed very much. Below you can see some pictures of this fantastic day!
