The educational offer of the school is Secondary Education (Middle and Upper highschool), two types of baccalaureate (humanistic-social and scientific-technological) and CFGM in electromechanics of motor vehicles and CFGM in commercial activities.

At the high school, several projects are carried out to encourage cooperative and group work to implement a different type of learning, focused on student's own motivations and needs.

In one of the projects, a charity run is being prepared where the students choose a charity association from one of the three municipalities to raise funds. The students are in charge of all the logistical aspects of the organization of the run, the promotion, the search for sponsors and the design of logos among many other tasks.

Another project that is being carried out is named "Emotional well-being". The students know and work on students' emotions and well-being and must create a short film on this topic. This production is presented at Casal Riudomenc for the entire educational community.

Other projects are the tourist promotion of the municipalities with theatrical visits, the recovery of old jobs or the sponsorship of a natural space and its sponsorship.

ESO

In ESO 10 hours of community service are carried out to entities and institutions from the three towns.

In Riudoms we work with the City Council in the youth area, the brigade, the Christmas Park and Picarols kindergarten. The school also collaborates with Cavaller Arnau and Beat Bonaventura primary schools, the Arnau del Palomar, the day center Onada and Càritas.

In Montbrió del Camp, we collaborate with the City Council in the youth area, the brigade and the Arc de Sant Martí kindergarten. The school also collaborates with the primary school Josep M. Soler i Gené.

In Vinyols i els Arcs, we collaborate with the town hall and Cu-cut kindergarten, and with Santa Caterina primary school.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

The school keeps joint projects with the town council of Riudoms, Vinyols i els Arcs i Montbrió and also work with the Regional Council of Baix Camp. This institutions help out with the paperwork and support the companies with which the VT projects are developed.

Both in the VT of commercial activities and in the electromechanics of motor vehicles students become learners and combine time in the high school with training time in the company in both FCT and Dual internships. Work-study training usually begins with a phase of integration in the company by carrying out training in a work place to move to a consolidation phase where the practical activity in the company is carried out as a salaried worker or intern in training.

The main aim of staying abroad is to improve the level in foreign languages, get to know a new country, its culture and customs and also to strengthen the bond between the students and between the teachers who have the opportunity to learn and put into practice new activities and teaching methods to improve knowledge of languages.

Erasmus+ 2015-2017

In the years 2015-2017, INS Joan Guinjoan i Gispert, in Riudoms, participated in an Erasmus program with first and second year upper high school students. We worked with the eTwinning platform, through which students and teachers interacted with people from other countries, exchanged experiences and participated in projects and forums. Our school project was entitled "Preparing for life in the 21st century". Secondary schools from six countries participated: Hungary, as the coordinating center, and Romania, Greece, Turkey, Italy.

Exchange with Normandy

Until 2019, 3rd and 4th ESO French students participated in a six-day exchange with students from a high school in Normandy. The aim of this initiative was to practice French and get to know a new country (its inhabitants, customs, culture...).

Language stays in Ireland

3rd ESO students can get to know Ireland on a week-long homestay while taking an English course and immersing themselves in Irish culture.

Exchange with the Europaschule Rheinberg in Germany

First year high school students participate in a cultural and linguistic exchange in the city of Rheinberg, Westphalia, Germany. For 5 days, cultural and sports activities are held to promote the exchange of languages ​​and create links between the participants of the two countries both in the town of Riudoms and in Rheinberg.
