Qui som?

L'Institut Guillem Catà de Manresa és un centre públic d'educació secundària que ofereix una formació de qualitat en diverses etapes educatives: Educació Secundària Obligatòria, Batxillerat i Cicles Formatius de Grau Mitjà i Superior en famílies professionals com Comerç i Màrqueting, Imatge Personal, Serveis Socioculturals i a la Comunitat, Sanitària i Fusta.

Amb prop de 1.400 alumnes i un equip de 140 professors, el nostre centre reflecteix la diversitat cultural de la ciutat i comarca. L’institut té dues seus: l’edifici principal al barri de la Font dels Capellans i una segona seu al Camí dels Tovots s/n (Barriada de les Cots), on es desenvolupen part dels ensenyaments professionals.

Apostem fermament per la internacionalització i la mobilitat dels nostres estudiants i professors a través del programa Erasmus+, que ofereix experiències de formació i treball a diversos països d’Europa. Gràcies a aquests projectes, el nostre alumnat pot millorar les seves competències professionals i lingüístiques, alhora que estableix contactes i vincles amb altres cultures i sistemes educatius.

Amb una llarga trajectòria que té els seus orígens en l'Escola d'Arts i Oficis de Manresa, el nostre institut porta el nom de Guillem Catà, l'arquitecte del segle XIV que va dirigir la construcció de la Sèquia de Manresa. Aquest nom simbolitza la nostra vocació de treball, cooperació i coneixement al servei de la comunitat.

Who We Are

Institut Guillem Catà in Manresa is a public secondary education center that provides quality training across various educational stages: Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, and Intermediate and Higher Vocational Training in professional fields such as Commerce and Marketing, Personal Image, Sociocultural and Community Services, Healthcare, and Woodworking.

With approximately 1,400 students and a team of 140 teachers, our school reflects the cultural diversity of the city and the region. The institute has two locations: the main building in the Font dels Capellans neighborhood and a second site at Camí dels Tovots s/n (Barriada de les Cots), where part of the vocational training programs take place.

We are strongly committed to internationalization and mobility for both our students and teachers through the Erasmus+ program, which provides training and work experiences in various European countries. Thanks to these projects, our students enhance their professional and language skills while building connections with other cultures and educational systems.

With a long history rooted in the Manresa School of Arts and Crafts, our institute is named after Guillem Catà, the 14th-century architect who oversaw the construction of the Manresa irrigation canal (Sèquia de Manresa). His legacy represents our dedication to hard work, cooperation, and knowledge in service of the community.
