Stay Homas and their Gotta Be Patient stand for all those who have tried to overcome the uncertainty and fear lived during the coronavirus lockdown with optimism and creativity.
From their rooftop in Barcelona this original band have reached homes all over the world with their humour and their handmade instruments. They have been admired by young and adults and even some famous singers have sung with them or covered their songs.
To me, Gotta Be Patient, and what it stands for, is the perfect candidate to be the soundtrack of this confinement, not only because of its positive message, but also because of its humble origin.
Resistiré, was originally written by the group Dúo Dinámico, but, last month, a group of fifty artists sang this song again, making it a hymn that to face the coronavirus.
Resistiré 2020 became popular really fast that, almost every day, at eight pm, this song sounds in every balcony and streets accompanied by the applause to the sanitary. The reason behind it, it's to give all the money to Caritas, helping elderly people, people without home, and family that have the virus. As the producer said, it was also thought to "inject high doses of hope, optimism, and energy to face the coronavirus".
To me, this iconic song is the perfect soundtrack for the confinement because it represents perfectly the situation that many people are going through. Moreover, the message is really positive and optimistic which makes you have hope for the upcoming future.
Volveremos a brindar is a song written by Lucía Gil in her confined hours to show positivism for us and for those who are taking care of us.
I love the message that she wants to transmit. It shows the reality we are living, it also invites us to become aware, to be in solidarity and to value the people around us. She also expresses the hope of a country that is together, that fights without arms, has fun and is encouraged, loved and supported.
I’m sure this is the soundtrack that I will always remember and associate to this confinement because of the thought, the reality and the strength that shows.
Quiero salir ya is a parody of the Frozen movie that talks about the things we do during this confinement, but in a fun way, we don't stop eating, I even had to sew.
I have red hands from so much disinfecting, they are things that happen to us, we no longer know we have to do and do anything, cook a lot, read, make music.
It’s a song that I think goes very well for this situation because it’s a parody, it makes you laugh and it’s different from the others.
One thing that makes me feel a little bit more pleased is listening to music. I really don’t mind the kind of song. However, these days I don't usually listen to sad songs. I feel that I have to make the best to get over all these stressful moments and make them more entertaining.
Well, one of the songs that it will remind me to all this situation we are living is “Fins al final” of a Catalan group called Koers. Every time I listen to it, I feel more comfortable and it gives me energy to think that everything will end soon and we will be able to meet all again. It makes me think a lot.
I hope you like it as much as me.
This lovely couple of musicians have made a lot of content during the confinement in their social media and this song is, actually, another prove of their talent to express their feelings and ideas with beautiful lyrics which are played with guitar and piano.
This composition gives a lot of hope to do again all the activities we used to and to value them. Moreover, explains the contrast between the silence the cities have lived and the gratitude all the people have shown from their balconies with praises.
Personality, I like this song because I find it really encouraging, thoughtful and convey the message that keeping holding on is the only direction we can go.
Although I already knew this song of Miki Nuñez, during the lockdown a second version of Escriurem was recorded. In this new version there are a lot of catalan artists singing it. It was made to collect money for an investigation about a vaccine for the coronavirus.
I like this song because it transmits a lot of positivity and during these days positivity is a need. Also, I think that it transmits a lot of hope and happiness, things that are really important during the lockdown, but in our normal lives too.
I hope you like it!
Y2K and bbno$ They have a hit “Lalala”, it’ve been on top of Spotify and other music list. The song It’s bragging, tongue-in-cheek nonsense-rap with a touch of drugged-out nursery rhyme.
Lalala song have become viral during the confinement. The people that uses the app TikTok is doing a lot of challenge with this song. This challenges are entertaining a lot of people and this is necessary during those days.

16 different spanish artists have mixed their voices to create the confinement hymn. The main goal of the song is encouraging and supporting all the confined people, as well as the ones suffering from COVID-19. They also provide back-up to the nurses and doctors working at the hospitals in more than 12 hours shifts.
The lyrics is mainly done by Adria Salas (La pegatina), but a lot of different singers have taken part of the project. In spite of the situation we are facing up to, in the video we can see spanish artists like Arnau Griso or Alba Reig having fun at home, reading or playing with their pets.
In my opinion, this fact automatically makes you laugh and see the positive part of confinement. It's the perfect song for quarantine!
Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber had made during this quarantine the song “Stuck with U”. I think that it will stay forever in my mind and will make me recall these moments because the song mixes romantic lyrics between two persons and the situation that we are living now. Also because of the video. In the video appears many people at home, dancing and singing very happily, although this terrible situation.
I really like that it and I think that being positive it’s the best thing we can do right now. In my opinion, this soundtrack is completely appropriate for these days and people can enjoy listening to it.
Al final tot anirà bé is a song written by the group Doctor Prats. This song was published in 2018, but now, during the confinement, it has made sense and a lot of people is listening it. The song encourages you and gives you hope to move on in these difficult days.
Now, during the confinement, Doctor Prats has made another version of the song. The message is clear, everything will be alright and we have to be patient.
To me, this song is the perfect soundtrack to listen during these days. Its message it's very positive and optimistic and it can make us smile.
During this confinement, I’ve done many things and some days I’ve gone out to the balcony to sing, dance and talk with my neighbours.
Spending the weekends’ nights out has been fantastic and I’ve learned some new songs. Vivir has been one of my wonderful discoveries, this song was written by Rozalén to help those people who have cancer. The message that this singer wants to transmit is amazing, she wants to encourage us to live without any fear and to value what we have.
I’m totally sure that this song will always remind me of the parties in my balcony during these strange weeks. Moreover, the lyrics of Vivir transmit me happiness and energy to continue fighting.
Somriurem is a beautiful song writen by Txarango, a famous and fantastic catalan music group.
The message that wants to transmit is that we shoudn't stop smiling even something goes wrong; we might continue day by day living as much good as we can. For this reason, I think that is very situable for the situation we are living.
Maybe the song won't remind me of covid19, but I'm pretty sure that when I will be thinking about this confinement I will have the song's message in mind.
I wish you like it!
An original song about life is a heart-felt written song by Tate McRae, a sixteen year old girl who went viral with the song Stupid earlier this year.
This song is about the realisation that we are only young right now and that there won’t be a better story to tell than the one we experienced with our friends or people that we love. The song was written way before the confinement started, but the feelings she talks about are similar to the ones I’m feeling or felt since we were put on lockdown.
I will always remember this song and the message it conveys, because it’s going to remind me about the times being inside my home where I realised I took everything for granted.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
El tiempo pasa is a song by Farruko that was released on April 3 this year and reflects on everything that is happening at the moment (quarantine).
This song is calm and very beautiful, the main message of this song is that time in this situation passes and passes and little by little you remember very beautiful moments of your life that you may have ignored before and now you give more importance and you realize that time passes very quickly and you don’t realize the most important things.
It is a song that I will remember from this current situation as I like it a lot and it also conveys a very important message. I hope you also liked it as much as I did.
Menos mal is a beautiful song written by Pole, a boy from Madrid that went viral for some of his songs.
The message of this song is that someone comes into your life and changes your world by falling in love. This made me realise that I missed my friends and the people I love more than I thought and that I want to see them again and make them change my world again.
I don't know if this song will make me remember the days I was in confinement, but I know that I will always remember how it made me feel.
I really hope you like the song!
El tren del temps is a song written the 2017 by Txarango, a catalan music group which has been everyday on my confinement life.
I have chosen this song because it's a inspiring and that gives hope for everyone during this difficult times we are living now. It talks about time and that you only have one opportunity to live, so you have to enjoy the maximum you can to do the things you love and in the other side, to learn that all the things go and you have to know how to leave them.
This song will always remember me for this strange times we are living nowadays.
I hope you like this beautiful song and that everyone is well!!
Mincraft is a game wich had a very important impact in my childhood, for me, every aspect of the game is great, even the music!
This songs help me distress myself with it's personality, a lot of them have moments wich are kinda funny and silly but they still are relaxing, maybe because the transport me into a harmless world, a world without obligations nor deadlines.
I chosed all of them (except 11 and 13 because they are scary) because they all share one thing, they're special, as I said before, they have personalities, for example, stal can be silly and funny and Pigstep is cool as hell. Because of that I can't chose one and I end up chosing all of them.
Final Feliç is a Soundtrack song that, I think, when the confinement will end, will remind me of that time that we are living in right now, because, as the song is titled, it will all have ended in a happy ending. Yes, many lives will be lost along the way, but in the end, we will get out of it, look at the past and say: luckily, it all ended in a “final feliç”. There is still a long way to go before this happiness comes, but together we will be able to overcome all obstacles and the adversities.
