Promenades des Berges are classificated as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991.
This park has changed over times in different uses and urban sceneries, especially since the middle of the 20th century and the spread of automobiles.
At the beginning of the 16th century the first quay along Seine was built. Then, in the early 19th century the river banks were all paved and developed; where now there is a promenade then the park was occupied by stones and some cafes in front of the river.
In the early 20th century it was the home of a floating swimming pool.
Between 1961 and 1967 a motorway was built along the river in order to reduce the center’s crowded traffic. In 1991, when it was considered as a UNESCO place, the edges of Sena were transformed into a park.
The promenade was designed by an architect called Franklin Azzi.
As you aren’t exposed to daily traffic and contamination, it’s considered a healthy place where you can improve relationships going there, in order to have a good time with people you love.
Aiming to improve human relationships, the park has a group of tipis and a collection of large containers that can be hired. These containers have large glass windows which have been turned into meeting rooms which can be used for parties, banquets or meetings.
Les Invalides was built in 1670 to the will of King Louis XVI of France in order to provide a place to stay for the disabled war veterans who were homeless. By the end of the century, there were over 4000 soldiers and mariners who had served in the French Armed Forces for over ten years and therefore could retire here. Once there, these men spent most of their time studying and fixing shoes and army suits, among many other things.
This place was built to satisfact the king and the soldiers, but they had to enter the chapel through different doors.
To reach the other river in order to enter Les Invalides you must cross Alexandre III. This bridge was inaugurated on the occasion of the 1900 Universal Exhibition and classed as a historical monument. Alexandre III is one of the most emblematic bridges in Paris because of its architecture and location.
Both monuments, Alexandre III and Les Invalides, are one of the most important monuments in Paris, the first one for its beauty and the second one for being the burial site of Napoleon I.
Les Invalides was built in order to improve human wellness, when they had nowhere to go after their 10 years in the army. So, once there, it’s clear that they had to learn and work for their companions, but they also had some time to socialize and make some relationships with the others.
So, at least, once soldiers were in Les Invalides they could also improve their relationships.
The Eiffel Tower was created on 28 January of 1889 for the World’s Fair, an exposition that became important in Paris. But this tower finally became the global culture icon in the city.
At first, the Eiffel Tower was the tallest structure in the world. Nowadays, it is 324 meters high.
This tower it’s very important because it was the principal character in different films, books and songs. Also a big inspiration for others architectures like the tower of Las Vegas.
It is important because it serves to be able to take a trip admiring the works or buildings that are next to the river. As we go through it we can see the different monuments that are on both sides of the river.
It is great luck that many of the famous and best known places in the city are located on its banks.
The Canal Saint-Martin also offers you an exceptional setting for original and charming river walks. With its lock passages and swing bridges, it attracts fans of an authentic and seductive Paris.
As for the Canauxrama boats, they propose various walks along the water: from the "Old Paris" Cruise, a romantic and unusual walk through the heart of the "Paris of the Parisians" to exploring the edges of the Marne, through day trips!
I think that this trip along the river Seine is a good idea to do if you have a partner. Because it is a romantic moment as soon as it is done at dusk or at night, with the option has to be able to make a beautiful romantic dinner. With friends it is also a good idea to have a good time looking at the monuments on both sides of the river and to take photos to remember.
On a personal level, it serves to be able to have a nice time together with your partner, making it very romantic or with your friends, making it a moment to remember. It also serves to be able to see the different monuments that are on both sides of the river and to be able to take photos to be able to see them when you return. It can also serve to realize the small moments of life really matter and have a great importance in the life of each one.
It is curious to know that the name of Trocadero comes, precisely, from Spain, specifically from the Isla del Trocadero, a small island of Cadiz where an army of French known as the One Hundred Thousand Sons of San Luis defeated the Liberals they occupied in August 1823. By then the Spanish government, contributing to the restoration of the deposed king, Fernando VIIupon their return to Paris, the French military celebrated their victory in the place that today occupies the square, which would be baptized with this name.
The Trocadero Square as such was not created until the end of the 19th century, when Napoleon III had it built as the King's Square in Rome, and shortly after it would be officially named Place du Trocadéro.
I think that these facts are important for society because it remembers the history of this place and it makes us reflect on the things that have happened.
And sometimes the history of these monuments marked a step in the place and it makes them interesting and beautiful.
From the Trocadero we have beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower, especially at sunset if the day is clear, when the sky turns pink and orange and gives you a unique image of the quintessential Parisian icon.
For couples it is a very romantic moment and a precious place.
It is also a beautiful place to be with friends or family and take a walk around the square and its beautiful gardens and the palace.
It is also a beautiful place to have a picnic in the morning or at sunset, which is when it is most beautiful and magical with beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower.
As part of culture, it makes a big step because it explains the history and the effects that happened there some time ago and makes it an important part of the culture of Paris.
On a personal level, it is a beautiful place to spend a pleasant time walking through the Gardens and think about your things and reflect on everything and things in life. This connects us to other people's past because of the explanations of the lives that they have or past and of that we can reflect the difference of the two times.
And and see that they are very different and and many times when we complain about nonsense, we realize that they are not important and that it is just an unnecessary waste of time.
Also on a personal level it is very good to be able to go with friends or with your partner and have a good time in the Gardens or in the square taking photos to remember the precious moment. Also enter inside the Trocadero Palace and visit the two pavilions admiring the neoclassical style.
We don't want to go back home!!!!!
