The act of replanting trees in a specific location is known as reforestation. This conservation strategy could help the Visayan Warty Pig maintain and regain its habitat in forests that were previously cut down in the 1970s and 1980s.
The Visayan Warty Pig Conservation Programme (VWPCP) was made in 1992 to preserve and protect Visayan Warty Pigs habitats, environment and natural resources.
According to Lazoo.org; the Visayan Warty Pig (Sus Cebifrons) is currently critically endangered and its population is currently decreasing. The Philippine government has made an effort to repopulate the Visayan Warty Pig population. They are doing this through the use of rescuing Visayan Warty Pigs and by creating breeding centers for them. The Los Angeles Zoo has been participating in an international breeding program for the Visayan Warty Pig since 1995 to increase its population.
