CXR Reporting is a comprehensive course to enhance skills in CXR interpretation. The course is aimed at radiologists in training and practising reporting radiographers who have recently completed a PG Cert in CXR interpretation.
Course Aim. To provide the reporting practitioner with the necessary knowledge to deliver an accurate and unambiguous reports which answer the clinical question, describes a tentative or differential diagnosis and where appropriate includes advice regarding the next step.
Course Delivery. Each session is 3 hours delivered online through Google Meets; with a total of 12 sessions to cover the topics listed below.
Course Content. During the first hour of the session, 20 CXRs specific to the relevant topics are made available to each individual for reporting (images on PACs Bin and reports submitted through Google Forms). Once all the reports are complete, the tutor reviews and discusses each case in detail with CT scans where appropriate. The session also include short presentations on the topic area and a few top tips.
The teaching is kept very informal to encourage discussion between the group. Submitted reports are only visible to the individual and tutor, and not shared with the group.
