On each of the Unit web pages the title and number given to each lesson corresponds to the text book. You will be given one of these to support your lessons and to help you revise. If you want to push yourself further, use the textbook to support your learning, for each section it has exam style questions and 'stretch yourself' activities.
Tim Marshall does some great easy to read books which explores how geography shapes politics and vice-versa. Highly recommended if you're into geopolitics and international relations!
Keeping up with the news and current affairs is highly recommend. You will start to see the interconnected nature of the world and how geography is interdisciplinary - politics, economics, environmental events, history, human behaviour, public health, culture and technology all shapes the subject of geography. Below is a great website ' Dollar Street' which will support you with the Changing Economic World Section of Unit 2 - you can compare pretty much anything from family size, to teeth, income, toilets, bikes, ceilings and clothes from households across the world. It gives you a great insight to how people live in different countries and the similarities and differences in each.
This video below is a documentary on Typhoon Haiyan - one of your case studies for The Challenge of Natural Hazards Unit. Watch it to get a better insight into the disaster - for your exam you need to know key info eg. number of deaths, cost of damage, the response to the disaster and size of storm surge for example.
