Student Achievements

1. MSc Part 1 students attended SIES College fest OPERON 2016 and came home with several prizes 1st and 2nd place in Chromostreaks, 2nd place in Labathon, 1st place in Cold Blood.

2. Internships: Most of our students worked on an internship in the winter and summer breaks. A number of our students were chosen this year on an All India Level for prestigious internships during April, May and June.

TYBSc students Bibakhya, Ritvik, Lavanya, Sian and Lenisa, obtained the Second Prize in Oral Presentation at K.C. College at Jigyaasa Undergraduate Research Scholars Meet 2018 and presented a paper entitled ‘Effect of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) in consortia on the growth of Moong (Vigna radiata)’

Bioentrepreneur Award: On 3rd March 2018, five M.Sc-II students from the Department of Microbiology participated in the Bioentrepreneur 2018 fest held at C.H.M. College, Ulhasnagar. Miss Durva Panchal and Miss Flevia Anthony won the First prize for their ‘RHIZO-FARM-KIT’ model, which was a combination of an innovative idea and strategic business planning.

Competitive Exams: Several of our TYBSc students cleared all India competitive exams for post-graduation which include the JEEBILS, J.A.M. and C.A.T. Several of our MSc students cleared the GATE, UGC-CSIR and S.E.T. exams.
