Co-curricular Activities

Hindi Association

The department of Hindi is running The Hindi Association namely Hindi “Sahitya, Sangeet evam Natya Academy”. Initially ‘Sahitya, Sangeet, and Natya Mandals’ were established in different years. The Hindi ‘Sahitya Mandal’ was established in the academic year 1946-1947, the Hindi ‘Sangeet Mandal’ was established in the academic year 1941-1942 and Hindi ‘Natya Mandal’ was established in 1961-1962. Later on, the then HoD Hindi Dr. Asha Naithani Dayama had clubbed them together for technical convenience. Now this association is known as “Sahitya, Sangeet evam Natya Academy”.

Under the banner of this association ‘Antas’ a three days annual festival is organised every year.

Festival

Under the banner of “Sahitya, Sangeet evam Natya Academy”, ‘Antas’ a three days annual festival is organised every academic year generally in even semesters. ‘Antas’ was started in the academic year 1987-1988 by the then HoD Hindi Dr. Asha Naithani Dayama.

During these three days, the first day is dedicated to literary activities such as debate competition, essay writing competition, poetry writing recitation, and other literary events. The subsequent day, our students present plays. The most interesting thing about these plays is that students themselves write the script, act, and direct their plays. On the third and final day, our students sing solo and group songs, play various musical instruments including classical and folk, and also perform solo and group dances
