Curriculums for Students to Self-Learn Plus Curricular/Special Skills
XRCVC inclusive Education Model:
The purpose is to build independent functioning of students with blindness equipped with all age-appropriate special skills. Persons with blindness need to learn some extra skills—to participate fully in learning and function independently—because of their visual impairment. These skills are called the “plus curricular/special skills”.
These skills are taught to the students depending on their age, grade level, the onset of blindness, level of blindness, and needs. These skills are taught/learnt level-wise. Some of these skills can be self-learnt by the student.
Read the following to understand which level you belong to and which skills are available for you to self-learn.
*Note: Each skill will have the prerequisites mentioned; read those and proceed further.
Level 1 is for any student who belongs to the following profile;
Age group: 3 to 5,
Grades: Nursery, Jr. KG, Sr. KG, or
Others: Older students who have no background in special skills
Level 4 is for any student who belongs to the following profile;
Student who has completed and passed the final test for levels 1, 2, and 3
Age group: approximately 11 and above,
Grades: VII, VIII, IX, X, or
Others: Older students who have no background in special skills
