Project Objectives
Our team project aims to collaborate with transportation and community-focused businesses to address the issue of invasive plants in Arizona waterways, particularly the salt cedar tree. Our plan involves extracting oil from these trees and converting it into biomass through chemical diffusion. Subsequently, we intend to transform biomass into biofuel, which can be utilized in vans and buses for transporting vulnerable populations such as the unsheltered, elderly, and disabled. By working closely with these companies, we aim to implement a more sustainable and resource-efficient approach to biofuel and energy usage.
