Project Description 

Green Grid is a student-led organization based out of Phoenix, Arizona started in 2023. Our team includes a group of four high-school juniors from Xavier College Preparatory, including Kiley Davis, Melina McKenzie, Jordyn Munoz, and Grace Thomas. Our mission pertains to the removal of Arizona-native invasive plants, specifically the Tamarisk ramosissima (Saltcedar tree), through implementing a circular economy to convert the product into biomass and then forms of biofuel, with hopes of using it to fuel transportation for Arizona's homeless and underserved population.
