Students will be researching and presenting a persuasive speech by the end of the term. The topics will be chosen by students relating to a controversial government related issue facing the US. The final copy of the speech must be turned in to Google Classroom and uploaded to turnitin.com
The state of Wisconsin requires all students in high school to complete a course on Government. All students are required to pass a Civics Test with at least a 70% before graduation. As a part of this course, you will learn all of the necessary content to be successful on the test.

Students will be assessed in 4 categories. Each assignment, test, paper and activity will be given a point value, then entered into a category. The breakdown of your grade is as follows:
Tests = 35%
Quizzes = 25%
Assignments = 30%
Speech = 10%
