Hi.  My name is Mrs. Gear and I will be your child's Pre-Algebra, Algebra, or Honors Geometry teacher this year.  I have been teaching math to middle school students for 30 years, and I love it! ❤

My first teaching job was teaching in Green Bay at a K-8 Catholic School teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.  After 5 years, I applied to XMS to lessen my commute and be closer to home.  At XMS, I have taught in the Learning Services Department, in 7th grade teaching math, in 8th grade teaching math and science, and then currently teaching math to all the 8th graders. ➕➖X➗

I have two sons - Thomas is a Sophomore at UW - Milwaukee and Michael is a Junior at XHS. 👦👦

I enjoy taking walks, paddle boarding, reading, working in my garden, golfing, and spending time with my family.  🏌️☀️
