For the ‘25-26 application cycle, many of the colleges WHS students have historically applied to are TEST OPTIONAL. This means you do not need to submit test scores to be considered for admission; however, it is the student’s responsibility to confirm this important information and/or any specific instructions regarding the college’s testing policy. For example: Do certain majors require standardized test scores? Does full scholarship consideration require standardized test scores? When in doubt, contact the Admissions Office directly.
If the student is planning to submit scores as part of the application process, these scores will need to be sent DIRECTLY from the testing agency. The Counseling Office does not send scores on a student's behalf and they are not included on the transcript.
The scores need to be sent at least one month in advance of the application deadline.
To send either the ACT or SAT, login in to your portal and follow the prompts to send scores. The link for ACT is HERE and the link for the College Board (SAT) is HERE.
The last test dates we recommend to meet "early" deadlines are September 6th for the ACT and September 13th or October 4th for the SAT.
