I started my ministry with Wycliffe Bible Translators at our field training camp in Mexico. I worked with the Tzeltal believers who were part of a huge people movement to the Lord in the 1960s and 1970s. I completed a Ph.D. at Georgetown University in 1980 and became a literacy consultant in the Mexico Branch of SIL International. Starting with teaching literacy in at Mariano Galvez University in Guatemala in 1989, I have worked as a literacy consultant and linguistics/literacy teacher in Mexico, the U.S., Canada, Australia, the U.K., the Solomon Islands, P.N.G., Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, what is now the DRC, Niger, Burkina Faso, Guinea Conakry, Nepal, and India, Ajerbaijan, Peru, and Spain. I was finally able to take the Perspectives Course online in 2020. I am participating in a Community of Practice for Perspectives instructors with Wycliffe Bible Translators. I am in contact with Perspectives organizers in the Charlotte, NC, area and have taught Lesson Seven to participants in the Perspectives Course being offered to the Fellows at JAARS. It has been my great joy and privilege to be a part of reaching the unreached through the work of Wycliffe and SIL Global. I have also helped train missionary candidates who are working all over the world in many different mission agencies.
