Global Partnerships’ Theory of Change recognizes that the local church is central to the process of enabling people to gain access to the Scriptures and to understand how they can apply the Bible for their own well-being and their community’s flourishing. This Theory of Change is an important description and illustration of how and why a desired change is expected to happen in the context of Bible Translation.
Church-based Bible translation is an approach to Bible translation where local churches play a central role in the process, rather than relying on outside organizations or experts. This model emphasizes the involvement, ownership, and leadership of the local body of Christ in bringing Scripture into their own languages.
