In grades K-2 the Gifted and Talented Teacher collaborates with the classroom teacher to provide differentiated instruction and individualized support to higher-level learners. Curriculum modifications are implemented to meet these students' needs, spark curiosity, and invite exploration. The Gifted and Talented Teacher also provides push-in support in grades K-2 to provide challenging learning opportunities for students who need additional challenge and enrichment.
To promote creative thinking, a variety of instructional methods and activities will be utilized to enhance problem-solving and higher-level thinking skills.
The Reggio Emilia Approach is integrated by using students' ideas and interests as the foundation for exploration and creative problem-solving activities. Students collaborate to explore concepts, solve problems, and create through these meaningful learning experiences.
