Wyckoff Discovery Curriculum was designed in accordance with the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) 2019 Programming Standards and the NJ Strengthening Gifted and Talented Education Act.
The Pull-Out Program for grades 3-5 provides gifted students with opportunities to collaborate with intellectual peers and engage in a learning experience characterized by depth, rigor, and creativity. This unit-based program explores a variety of enriching topics designed to supplement and expand upon students’ interests and knowledge.
The curriculum adopts a multidisciplinary approach, integrating Universal Themes—such as systems, conflict, power, and relationships—throughout the units of study. These themes encourage students to think critically, make meaningful connections across subjects, and approach problems from multiple perspectives.
With a strong emphasis on problem-solving, critical and creative thinking, the program supports students in challenging assumptions, evaluating information and generating innovative ideas. Our goal is to help students become discerning evaluators of information, fostering a lifelong pursuit of learning.
