The Whitewater Unified School district utilizes a computerized debit system for its food service program. High school students are issued an identification card with their student number at the beginning of the school year. Families are assigned a lunch account tracked by the computer. All food items are scanned into the system. Deposits may be made into Infinite Campus or checks may be dropped in the deposit box in the MPR or mailed to any school office in an envelope with the following information written clearly: head of household, students’ names, and amount enclosed. It is important to include the household/family name, as one check will cover all children in the district.
Parents/Guardians are asked to deposit at least enough money to cover one week of lunches per child, although larger amounts are recommended. Students who are approved for free or reduced lunches and breakfasts will use the same system. There is no identification of free/reduced lunch status. Application forms are available in Infinite Campus under the “More” tab or the district website.
Parents are reminded of low balances as they occur via the District’s automated message system, and vary based on balance. Year-end balances will be carried over to the next school year. When a family account is closed, a refund will be issued for the balance in the account. Appropriate lunchroom behavior is expected of all students.
