What do you do?

I'm currently living in Stevens Point, but I work at Thrivent Financial in Appleton as a Software Engineer focusing on Architecture for the Claims systems.

How did you get there?

I took all the class that WHS offered about computers as of 2009 and then went to college at UW-Stevens Point. I got a degree in Web and Digital Media Design with an emphasis on backend design. The summer before my last semester of school I got an internship at Sentry Insurance that became a full time job till I took the position at Thrivent.

What advice do you have for current computer science students?

The best advice I can give is don't get tied to one programming language, diversify because companies care more for your ideas than if you know C# or java.
