FAQ

What time is my zoom call for mentoring and how do I join?

That depends on the mentor that was assigned to your student. The information for the zoom call should be in an email sent to you the week of January 23rd. Please contact Caroline Hardin if you can't locate that email.

When are the projects due?

Projects should be completed by the second week of March to allow time for presentations to be prepared and posted on the virtual fair site.

When is the science fair?

The science fair will be open for visitors online March 14-18.

Can I work with a partner?

YES! Collaboration is important in science and engineering, and you can certainly collaborate! A team can present together, or individually, and all team members will receive recognition.

For an engineering project, should it be something the student can independently design/build/create, or is some parental help OK?

Parents an absolutely be involved! As long as the questions and work are based on students' ideas, parental help is ok!

How long does the final video of the science/engineering project need to be?

Students will be able to directly record or upload a video of 10 minutes for their presentations. They will also be able to include links to documents, pictures, etc. along with their video.

How do I upload/view projects?

Join this FlipGrid and post/view videos or other artifacts from your project!
