How did we "Take Action"?
For our take action plan, we volunteered at Bigger Than Sneaker's "Cozy Together" coat, toy, and shoe giveaway. The giveaway was located at Norwood Highschool in Norwood, Ohio, on December 15, 2024. The items were given away on a first come, first served basis.
We helped by grouping clothing items based on gender and size. We also put those items in their designated places to make it easier for people to find what they need for themselves and for their families.

How did it go?
The turnout was AMAZING. Sadly, the amount of materials needed was underestimated, and Bigger Than Sneakers ran out of items before they could give winter necessities to everyone that showed up. We're sure that next year they will have even more materials to give back to the community.
Who helped us with this project?
Bigger Than Sneakers (BTS) is a nonprofit organization that provides a platform to showcase the larger ecosystem surrounding sneaker culture. Through workshops & events, a mentorship program, and youth-focused community initiatives, BTS seeks to empower and inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
In the summer of 2024, Quinn participated in the BTS Academy program. Through an existing connection with the organization, we reached out to Natalie Morean, the Executive Director of BTS, and secured an opportunity to volunteer at the event. Our involvement allowed us to give back to the community and contribute to its positive development.
A moment to thank our sponsors...
We owe a HUGE thanks to Bigger Than Sneakers. If it wasn't for them, we would not have had this opportunity to help out our community. A special thanks to Natalie Morean for staying in contact with us and keeping us updated with possible volunteering opportunities.
