At my time at the shelter, I was guided around the facility to learn about not only how to care for the animals, but the history around why the Animal Friends society came into play, such as them being Butler County's largest, non-profit animal shelter. I went along with my sister and we helped clean and care for the animals around the shelter. It was very loud, but it also filled my heart with joy.
