Take Action

For my project, I connected Quality education to Culture. These work and in hand with each other. Cultural awareness prepares us to work effectively in different cultural contexts at the global level, enhancing their ability to work with anyone in terms of communication. When students are exposed to multiple cultural perspectives it teaches them to think critically about their own viewpoints and gain the ability to understand others’ perspectives.

It is important for children to have safe spaces where they feel they can be their authentic self. Here at Winton Woods we have a wide variety of students that come from different parts of the world. 

I interviewed different students at winton woods and asked them what they like most about their culture and this is what they said. 

I also asked what are some things that we could work on to make our school more diverse and more culturally aware. And these were some of the responces

• more ethic clubs 

• more global curriculum 

• more culture events

• More exchange programs 

These are some effective ways to promote diversity and inclusion In our school and community !!! I plan on sharing this feedback to our school leaders to help strive for this cause.
