WHAT IS GOOGLE CLASSROOM?

Google Classroom is your Child's digital link to learning.

Teachers will use Google classroom to post class announcements, share content, links and assignments. Your child will use google classroom to open, download, complete, and submit their classroom assignments back to their teachers for feedback.

Students in grades 3-12 using google classroom as their main Continuous Learning Platform should log on to Google Classroom daily on school days.

GETTING STARTED

There are two ways to join a Google Classroom . Your Child's teacher will let you know which option they have initiated.

Note: Students must activate their email to access Google Classroom, see the Westwood Student Gmail page for directions.

Option 1: Your teacher sent an invitation to join the Classroom to your Westwood email.

Option 2: Your teacher provided you with a class code to join the classroom

Join Option 1

  1. Check your email for something like the one on below (see the Westwood Student Gmail page for email directions).


2. Then open the email and click the Join button.

  1. Log into your Westwood gmail account (see the Westwood Student Gmail page for email directions). Then click the waffle of dots and open Google Classroom.


2. Click the Plus sign at the top right

3. Enter the class code provided by your teacher
