All incoming 6th grade students (Class of 2033) are encouraged to participate in a Peforming Arts Ensemble.
Performing Arts is a full year commitment, but we hope you think of it as a seven year experience (continuing through high school).
What can you expect?
Develop a new skill through weekly practice
Have a great experience learning a new skill/instrument
Able to still participate in atheltics and extra curricular activies
Meet as a class 4 days a week during the school day
Perform in evening concerts throughout the school year (dates will be shared in August 2026)

Students will automatically be enrolled in related arts classes (Art, Computer Science, PE and STEM/PLTW). Students will also have a WINN time schedule that can be used for remediation and small group instruction.

Students will be enrolled for their Performing Arts class (Band, Choir or Strings) during their WINN time.
Performing Arts classes will meet 4 days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. All students will attend WINN class on Wednesdays.
*Students will not be able to participate in more than one Performing Arts Ensemble for the 2026-2027 school year.*
Students wanting to participate in Performing Arts who also receive interventions via an IEP, Title 1, and Intensive Reading Interventions will have a different schedule.
Students will be enrolled for their Performing Arts class (Band, Choir or Strings) during their WINN time.
Performing Arts classes will meet 4 days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. All students will attend WINN class on Wednesdays.
These students will receive their inverventions during their quad's related arts class time (Art, Computer Science, PE and STEM/PLTW). This means that a student opting to participate in a Performing Arts class who also receives interventions will not have related arts classes as a sixth grader. They would only be enrolled in the Performing Arts class.
