Absences may be necessary for all different reasons. I am writing to remind all of you that the reasons for your child's absence is important to me so I can track illness trends and keep our school community as healthy as possible.

As a NJ -School Nurse/Public Health Nurse, I am taking part in the NJ Influenza Surveillance Reporting, therefore, it is very important that the REASON FOR YOUR CHILD'S ABSENCE be stated when you call the Berkeley Absence Line so we can assist in the monitoring of clusters of illnesses in the community and the state.
