All students will be enrolled in an art class. In addition, please select the following:
1. Active: either Cooperative Games class or Performing Arts class
2. STEM: either STEM focused class or Technology focused class (these classes will run for two periods)
In this class, students will explore art from around the world and across history, learning how different cultures and artists have expressed ideas and influenced one another. They will create their own artwork, sometimes inspired by famous artists or art movements, and other times reflecting their own unique vision. Projects may include painting, mosaics, 3D sculptures, and more, giving students the chance to develop skills, experiment with materials, and take their creativity to the next level.
In this class, students will discover how to sing, dance, and act like a Broadway “triple-threat!” Through vocal exercises, basic dance steps, and acting games, they will explore characters, build confidence, and strengthen their theater skills. The session will conclude with an informal performance where students can showcase everything they’ve learned!
Do you want to gain an extra edge in your favorite sports and enjoy staying active? This class is designed for all students looking to improve fitness, athletic skills, and personal performance without competition between peers. Age-appropriate drills focus on form and technique, and each student will receive a full report tracking their progress. Students will also have a blast participating in fun team games that put their skills into action!
In Discovery Lab, students dive into hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) projects that spark creativity and curiosity. Through team-based challenges, they will explore real-world problems, design solutions, and bring their ideas to life. From building bridges to testing parachutes and engineering windmills, students will discover, create, and explore the world of STEAM in fun and interactive ways!
In this dynamic technology class, students will take their digital skills to the next level! They will explore website design, create eye-catching graphics and infographics using Canva, experiment with digital art, and use a variety of applications to bring their ideas to life. Students will also learn how to plan and produce commercials and podcasts, developing skills in storytelling, communication, and digital media production. Beginner coding and problem-solving challenges will continue to strengthen their logical thinking and creativity.
