Media Center Books Read
Read Alouds
Students will participate in a read aloud and discussion during the month of May during their media special. The titles below will be utilized to facilitate conversations around feelings, fears, making mistakes, empathy and kindness.
Kindergarten
Students will discuss what makes them happy after hearing this read aloud.
First Grade
Students will explore various feelings and emotions. They will learn about how to deal with feeling angry.
Second Grade
Students will share their worries and discuss what makes them feel better when they feel that way.
Third Grade
Students will learn about having a growth mindset and how to handle making mistakes.
Fourth Grade
Students will learn about perseverance and how preserving can help them overcome obstacles in their life.
Fifth Grade
Students will learn about the power of kindness and the impact it can have on others.
