Hello Parents and Guardians,

This website is designed to give you easy to access, clear and concise information about the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment that your 3rd-5th grader will be taking this May. For all of our students, this will be the first time they are taking this statewide standardized test.

Rest assured that teachers and students have been working hard all year long to learn, practice and apply the skills needed to be successful on this assessment. That being said, the NJSLA is one assessment given at a specific point in time. It does not represent everything your child knows or has learned this year. While the data coming out of this assessment will be informative, we fully understand and recognize that one test will never be the summation of a child's knowledge base.

As you click through the various tabs, we hope that you get a better understanding of what the NJSLA is and what your child(ren) will be experiencing during the testing window.
