I believe the main goal of a teacher, is to help children grow emotionally, physically, and mentally. In order to accomplish this goal, the whole child must be considered when teaching. Children learn in four different ways and a good teacher needs to incorporate all of these levels into the curriculum. The key to this approach, is the realization that, there are many ways to be smart.

A good teacher also addresses both high and low level questions. This method allows a teacher to incorporate basic skill and recall material as well as stimulating children to utilize higher levels of thinking. By spanning the spectrum of questions, children will be able to recall and remember information as well as integrate knowledge from their pedagogy to create innovative answers. Good questions spark good answers.

An efficient teacher also includes several components in every lesson plan. The most sufficient way of doing this is to use the format of motivating, imaging, providing expert knowledge, questioning, practicing, creating, presenting, and evaluating. By using this format, children will have the opportunity to understand and look at a concept before studying it. This process will also give me the opportunity to connect the concept to student's prior knowledge as well as the ability to see where a student excels or needs assistance. As a teacher, I will do anything in my power to help ensure children their right to learn and succeed.
