Historical Fiction Rubric

Each project will be graded on the following criteria:

Content- Includes specific historical information from your book regarding setting, events, conflict and cause/effect relationships. Evidence of additional historical research is displayed.

20 points

Organization: Layout of project is appropriate and easy to read/understand. Your information is presented in a logical format. Appropriate transitions are used and evident (where necessary). DTAP as a heading.

5 points

Relevance- All historical information relates to your book and is factually accurate. Your knowledge of the text and time period is displayed throughout your work. Must include list of sources of research materials.

15 points

Effort & Effect- Class time is used efficiently and focused. Project has heading and all creative aspects add to the project effectively. All written areas are typed grammatically correct. Grade level or higher vocabulary is evident.
