Education

The Family and Consumer Science Department believes in providing for a comprehensive education in order to expose students to the worlds of education, fashion, interior design and culinary arts. We encourage the creative thinking process to analyze problems and make rational decisions, presenting opportunities for students to develop interpersonal skills through collaborative work within the greater community and specific industries.  We strive to help students successfully access, manage and communicate information through public speaking skills and presentation, recognizing that they must prepare to face the challenges of a constantly changing technological society.  Students in our program will gain industry exposure and experiences to be able to make life and career choices, while developing personal accountability skills and becoming responsible members of society.
