About Me

I am one of the kindergarten teachers at Jessie F. George (JFG) Elementary. This is my second year at JFG and I'm grateful to be a part of such a loving and caring community.  I am a teacher who is passionate about children's education. I have a master's in Early Childhood Education (2021) and I received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Dance, in 2015.

I have worked in education for over 6 years. I’ve had the pleasure of working with general education and special education. I believe that all students can learn and be successful. Having a supportive teacher will assist students in achieving their goals and I am excited to be that support for each of my students. Creating fun lessons, differentiating activities, building classroom community, and using different teaching methods are some tools that I use to enhance learning in a positive way.

Students need to know we believe in them. I am passionate about meeting students where they are. Putting smiles on children’s faces daily is what I live for.

I am also a dance teacher in the evenings. Dance and music have always been a part of my life. I teach Latin fusion, toddler movement, modern, hip hop and the dance company, just to name a few.

When I am not being a super teacher, I am at home being a super mom to the most amazing three-year-old twin girls.
