Model United Nations committees can be stressful for first-time delegates. To ease the transition, we’ve provided an assortment of documents and videos filled with helpful tips and GUIDANCE. These resources cover everything from PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE and CLAUSE FORMAT, to SPEECH PREPARATION, BLOC FORMATION, and how to maintain a strong presence in committee, which is supported by having STRONG RESEARCH. Whether you’re unsure how to write a position paper or just want to feel more confident speaking, these resources can help you improve and refine your skills. A small note - your background guide research and solution gathering methods do not have to be the same as portrayed in the sample documents as these are simply outlines. Do what works best for you and get creative! However, it is vital that your solutions are not written in clause format, as writing in clause format is considered pre-writing and goes against NorthMUNC's policies.
