WW-P Kindergarten Registration:
Beginning on 1/13/25, families can register for Kindergarten in WW-P.
Your child must be registered as a WW-P Kindergarten student in order to apply for the DLI program.
Interested in Applying to join the DLI program starting in Kindergarten?
Families are encouraged to read our digital DLI brochure found here. Copies are also available in Spanish and Chinese.
All WW-P families who are interested in applying to the Dual Language Immersion program must:
a) attend the DLI Kindergarten Interest Meeting Webinar on Wednesday, February 26th at 7:00pm
or
b) watch the recorded DLI Webinar which will be posted to the DLI website after the DLI Interest Meeting.
DLI Kindergarten Application:
The Kindergarten application for the DLI program is available starting 2/27/25.
The DLI application is open to all families who attended our DLI Interest Meeting or watched the DLI webinar recording.
Note: If your family already has a child in the DLI program, you are eligible for sibling priority admission so long as you apply by the deadline. You do not need to attend the Interest Meeting or watch the webinar; instead, you may complete the application and select the option: "I currently have a child in the DLI program." Please be aware that starting in September of 2024, the DLI Spanish Kindergarten program will be located at Wicoff Elementary School.
The first cycle of applications will be closed on April 8th or when capacity is reached, whichever comes first. A waitlist will be used for Kindergarten DLI if capacity is reached.
If capacity is not reached by April 8th, a new cycle of applications will open at that time.
In the late Spring/early Summer, families will be notified about the status of their DLI application.
If you are placed on the Kindergarten waitlist, your spot will be held on the waitlist throughout the Kindergarten year, and you will be contacted if a spot becomes available. At the end of Kindergarten, the waitlist is closed; should you like to be considered for a spot in the DLI 1st grade classes, you would need to follow the directions below for a transfer application.
If there is space in the grade-level cohort and the child demonstrates the appropriate language proficiency level to join the class, registered WW-P students may apply to join the DLI program.
Your child must be registered as a student in WW-P to apply for the DLI program.
If your child is transferring into the WW-P school district after Sept. 1st of Kindergarten and you would like to be considered for the program, please contact ashley.warren@wwprsd.org or your child's new Principal to learn about the transfer process.
