What should I do if...

Report this absence to our attendance line. Our attendance line is available 24/7 at 734-419-2370, simply leave a message on the line and we will update your child's attendance accordingly. Please allow 24-72 hours for the absence to be updated in the system. If you leave a message and still receive an attendance call this is likely the reason, but please feel free to confirm via ParentConnect.

Reach out to your child's teacher (via email) for the class(es) where they were marked absent. The teacher can verify attendance and correct or clarify as needed. 

Students must be logged into their student Gmail accounts in order to see/join classrooms. You can access the main Classroom page by clicking the waffle menu (9 dots) in the upper right corner of the screen and selecting “Classroom”, or by going to classroom.google.com. 

If your student is missing one of their classes from this page, you can add it with a classroom code. They should have received this code from their teacher via their student email early in the year. If you cannot locate the code, you can reach out to the teacher via email or call our office at 734-419-2350 for assistance.

With the code, you will click the “+” symbol in the upper right corner of the main Classroom page, enter the code, and click the blue “Join” button. This will add their classroom to your student’s account.

Please reach out to your student's teacher via email with the assignment name and specific issue you are experiencing. 

It is best to address any concerns with the classroom teacher first. If there are still concerns after speaking with the teacher, reach out to your child’s counselor:

Teachers are most easily available via email, or you can call the main office to leave a voicemail. 

Secretaries are in the office on weekdays from 7:30am to 3:30pm. You can ring the bell at the front office doors. Identification is required to enter the building during school hours.
