The FOSS Water and Climate module gives kids hands-on experience exploring how water moves, changes form, and drives weather on Earth. Students test the unique properties of water, trace the water cycle, and use real weather tools to measure temperature, rainfall, and wind. By comparing global climates and severe weather events, they gain a practical understanding of how weather works and why protecting our water supply matters. 

Science

Core Knowledge Geography is all about helping students truly understand the world around them. Throughout the unit, kids pick up essential map skills—like reading grids, tracking latitude and longitude, and figuring out time zones—while diving into how the planet actually works through landforms, climate zones, and plate tectonics. They'll also travel across the seven continents, check out major rivers and biomes, and see how geography has shaped human history, from ancient trade routes and early civilizations to modern cities and everyday life.
