Sportsmanship AND Locker Contracts DUE Friday, August 21st!
My name is Kasey Pommer and I am one of the fifth grade teachers here at Woodrow Wilson Academy. I originally hail from Minnesota (Skol, Vikings!) where I received my teaching degree and licensure from Minnesota State University Moorhead. During the fall of 2002, my husband and I moved to Arizona, where I taught 3rd grade for three years before we moved here to beautiful Colorado. My career at WWA began in the fall of 2005, as a third grade teacher for four years, then eventually a fifth grade teacher where I have been ever since!
Both of my sons have attended Woodrow since Pre-K and loved it here. In my free time, you can find me chasing around my boys with all of their activities, cooking up yummy things to eat, exploring this breath-taking state that we live in, competitively challenging people to a board or card game, or just enjoying time with family and friends.
Hi! My name is Anna Keller and I am one of the 5th Grade EAs. Even though I grew up in the Midwest (Ohio and Michigan - GO BLUE!), I am a Colorado native with two wonderful boys here at Woodrow. I LOVE to coach and play ice hockey, to ski and snowboard, to hike, and, of course, to spend time with my family. As an avid reader, I can easily spend hours with a great book or enjoying a good card or board game. Over the years, I've had some fun and unique jobs - working at zoos, at horse stables, and in ski shops - but working at Woodrow has been the best! I've been an EA with Mrs. Pommer in 5th grade since 2023 and can't imagine doing anything else.
Hi, my name is Mike Rosenstein and I am thrilled to have been part of the fifth grade team since 2011. My teaching experience started in Mississippi where I was a Physical Education teacher. I moved to Colorado in 2006, after Hurricane Katrina, with my wife Julia, sons Ian and Trevor, and daughter Kara. Since being in Colorado, I have taught 4th, 5th and 6th grades. When I’m not at school, you can find me cheering on the Rockies at Coors Field, entertaining my grandson, Huey, or attending punk rock shows to see my son’s band. 🙂
Mrs. Janssen is a Colorado Native. She grew up in south Denver and after getting married to her husband, he joined the Navy. They moved back to Colorado and settled in Westminster in 2006. She has two kids-Adam who is a senior and Emily who is in ninth grade. She started out volunteering in the classroom in 2014 for her son's class and continued for the next several years until 2017 when she became an EA. This will be her eighth year as an EA here at Woodrow Wilson Academy, and third year with the 5th grade team. She enjoys camping, reading and spending time with her family.
