Campus: Main source of how we communicate grades to families
Grades updated at least weekly (most of the time more often!), Missing assignments flagged/late work updated daily with rare exceptions (teacher absence, etc)
3. Due Dates and Homework: Please take note of the weekly due dates!
Reading Logs- Given in Thursday folders, due each Thursday morning
Daily Geography- Due each Thursday for completion credit of 10 points for self-direction/personal responsibility, there is no late credit as they can go as far ahead as they wish, Challenge question at the end of each week is extra credit
Spelling Packets-Given the beginning of the week, due the end of the week
Fluency-Short nightly reading passages assigned the beginning of the week due at the end of the week with parent signatures from each night
* HOMEWORK CLUB - Monday-Thursday, Begins at 3:05, pick up outside at 3:25, sign up using the link on the 5th grade website
4. Planners: Your child should be writing in them and reviewing them at the end of each day with the teacher, parent signatures are not required
Mr. Rosenstein will update a nightly homework slide on the 5th grade class website/slideshow for you to utilize, as well
Be sure to reference our online Planbooks if you have questions about assignments or need a new copy
5. Please send your child with a small, HEALTHY morning snack.
Fried potato chips, Takis, Doritos, sugary cereal, pudding cups, candy, and things of that nature which are not good “brain fuel” will not be allowed.
Some good choices include, but are not limited to - crackers, cheese, meat sticks, yogurt sent with a spoon, fruit, veggies, granola bars, etc.
We also request that you provide your child with a water bottle with a lid every day. Please ONLY send WATER in your child’s water bottle.
If your child wishes to have a little time immediately after school to finish up their homework for the night with a teacher available to help, Homework Club might be the thing for them!
Homework Club is held Monday-Thursday from 3:00-3:25 in our Intermediate upstairs study hall space. With your permission, your child may attend whichever days they wish AS LONG AS A PARENT KNOWS they will be there. At 3:25, your child will be walked out to the parking lot and be dismissed in person to you instead of using Driveline. Note: Any students not picked up by 3:30, will be sent to Wildcat Care and your family will be charged for the after school care fees incurred.
