A HiCap (Highly Capable) Advisory Committee is a group that works together to support and improve gifted education services in a school district. These committees typically include parents, educators, administrators, and community members who collaborate to review program goals, provide feedback, and advocate for the needs of highly capable students. Members meet regularly—four times each year—to discuss the HiCap program, monitor its effectiveness, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
