PLANNING TEAMS
The Reopening Task Force is meeting regularly throughout the summer to monitor the evolving Covid-19 situation and related mandates day to day, while soliciting input from experts and community members as needed to identify and implement its plan for the 2020-2021 school year. The task force has gathered a library of resources to inform their planning, including the latest guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and New York State, statements and publications from neighboring states, as well as documentation from countries where schools have been able to reopen.
The Reopening Task Force will rely on designated Implementation Teams to work through specific challenges and provide solutions for implementing any reopening plan with a focus on health and safety restrictions. Each Implementation Team is made up of district representatives with specific knowledge of our student body and staff, our buildings and grounds.
The goal: To provide a school experience that is as close to normal as possible, and uphold academic standards under conditions of optimum safety for everyone.
