The Train to Hire Program is a new initiative delivered by WUSC in partnership with local and provincial partners in Nova Scotia. The program recruits eligible refugees selected by WUSC who are approved for resettlement under Canada’s Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program (PSRP) by Canadian immigration authorities. The participants who arrive under Train to Hire will become permanent residents upon arrival in Canada. They will receive pre-/post-arrival skills training and are matched to a work placement in Nova Scotia as per program eligibility criteria.
WUSC will recruit volunteers around the province to form local Sponsorship Groups that will support the refugees under the Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program (PSRP).
Train to Hire is delivered by WUSC, a Canadian global development organization working to catalyze positive education and economic outcomes for young people. Our vision is a world where every young person thrives and belongs. Learn more about our work here.
