Vision and Mission

  1. To enable students to appreciate the characteristics and values of their own culture, and respect the culture and heritage of other communities.

  2. To cultivate among students social awareness as well as civic consciousness.

  3. To cultivate students' positive values and attitudes that will enable them to tolerate and respect different opinions.

  4. To develop an understanding of the changing relationships between people, locations and events in the past and their impact on human society.

  5. To train students to identify the relationship between events in their time context, to provide rational explanations for historical events on the basis of evidence, and to think skeptically and empathetically.

  6. To help students develop skills that foster independent, critical and analytical thinking, and make sound judgment and effective communication.
