Expect homework every night. That does not mean a student will have homework every night, but even nights where homework is not assigned a student should be constantly preparing themselves for the next class.
If a student has classwork that is not finished in class, or is absent from class for any reason except illness, the classwork is expected to be finished for homework then turned in prior to, or at the start of, the following class.
Virtual assignments should be submit, complete, prior to their assigned deadline.
Student assignments and class material can be found daily on our google classroom account. All grades are scored on a 100 pt. scale.
It is the students responsibility to makeup work when you are out of class. The amount of time provided for you to make up the work will be determined on an individual basis. If you know in advance that you are going to be missing from class, notify me prior and I will prepare the work you will be missing. If you miss an experiment or activity, an alternate assignment will be created to replace what you missed in class.
I understand that science is a difficult subject and not all students may grasp the concepts at the same pace. I, upon request, will gladly sacrifice my lunch period or come before school, to review material with students struggling with content or for further clarification and review on a topic. Find me in school or send an email to set up a time for review.

Mr. Olvesen
