GRADING
A+ = 98-100 C+ = 80-82
A = 95-97 C = 77-79
A- = 92-94 C- = 74-76
B+ = 89-91 D+ = 71-73
B = 86-88 D = 68-70
B- = 83-85 D- = 65-67
F = 64 and Below
Physical Education
GRADING SYSTEM
Full participation = no points deducted, assignment submitted on time (Prep + Part in genesis 0)
Partial participation (PPF) = -2.5 points deducted
Missing assignments: No work submitted: No Participation = -5 points deducted (NPF)
Medical = -5 points deducted
Medical Makeup = 5 points restored
Everyday each assignment is worth 5 points (Class participation/medical)
Essays are biographies on athletes that must be one page in length, double spaced, 12 point font and APPEAR IN YOUR OWN WORDS. It cannot be copied and pasted, if so it will not be accepted.
In genesis your grade will reflect a "0" everyday if you are prepared and participate. If you see any minus, that indicated you were either not prepared, did not participate completely ( fitness and activity), or only participated partially during class. This is a participation class.
If you are absent two times, no points will be deducted from your grade. After the second absence for any reason, you will lose 5 points. You may make up the points deducted for absences or suspensions by doing a 1 page handwritten essay on any athlete of your choice and sending it to me in google classroom. When it is read and graded your points will be restored.
Health
Attendance- this is a 22 day course. Attendance is essential. Excessive absences (more than 2) may result in loss of credit. This is a graduation requirement and counts towards your GPA.
Participation- everyone is expected to participate and contribute in class activities and everyday discussions.
Classwork, Homework and Quizzes- combine to make up 50% of your grade. Save all your handouts, they will be useful study guides for the final.
Tests- Tests will count for 50% of your grade.
Final Exam- Counts for 20% of your Final Grade.
Missing work- any tests, homework, or classwork must be made up, ask for missing work.
Be prepared- have your chromebook or notebook and pen or pencil with you everyday. Be on time and in your seat by the bell.
All district rules will be followed. No backpacks, headphones, cell phones, ipods hats, food or drinks will be allowed in the classroom.
