Welcome to Geometry class! I hope that by the end of the course, you have a greater appreciation for the world that surrounds us.
The school guidelines are as follows:
Please move through the hallways quickly in between classes. Do not hall roam.
Memorize your daily schedule, especially lunch times.
For times in between classes, D-wing and A-wing center stairwells are UP ONLY. The A-wing end stairwells are DOWN ONLY.
Return from lunch on time. Since we have C-lunch, so for regular schedule days the bell to go to lunch is 11:58 and the return late bell is 12:29. If returning after 12:30 you will be marked as late.
School expectations per Administration:
No phones or other personal electronic devices.
No food or drink (with the exception of water).
No coats, hats, or hoods should be on inside the building (except religious or medical clearance).
No locker passes. No lockers going to or from lunch.
No bags of any kind are allowed in class.
No visitors or visiting.
Safety drills - know the difference between lockdown, lockdown window, shelter in place, and exiting directions for fire drills.
The following are the expectations for class:
Honesty is, and has always been, the best policy. Follow the rules, do your own work, put in the effort, and nobody will bother you.
Show up to class on time with your chromebook as charged as possible, something to write with, and something to write in (notebook, binder, etc).
As class presentations are occurring, stay as silent as possible so you and your classmates can follow along.
No charging of devices.
Homework assignments will be posted to and submitted on Google Classroom. Make sure to read specific instructions per assignment.
Passes will be dealt with after presentation is over, unless medically necessary. No nurse to bathroom passes.
It's easier to remember things if you write them down yourself. If I write something down, you should too.
We will consider the Desmos Scientific Calculator (desmos.com/scientific) our class calculator. You may use your own if you have one.
Ask questions! Ask me, ask other teachers, go to extra help.
Late work policy - do things on time and nobody will bother you.
